I feel compelled to clarify my position regarding recent false claims and unwarranted attacks on my reputation. Since the unauthorised publication of court details in July 2024, I have had no contact with the individuals responsible. Out of numerous statements provided, they have deliberately focused on mine. Once again certain individuals and their contacts are unjustly dragging my name through the mud.
There are groups out there with hidden agendas, using fake profiles and misleading narratives to rally support, without considering the real issues they’re backing. It’s essential to ask yourself, beyond the hook: who and what are you actually supporting? The truth about their behaviour and actions is far from the surface.
To be clear: I am neither responsible nor liable for any animals at any facility. Relevant authorities have already addressed the situation, and if anyone feel they have concerns, they should direct them to those authorities. The idea that I could somehow intervene in this situation is misguided at best—thank you for overestimating my influence.
As for taking sides in this ongoing issue, I will never align myself with individuals or groups that promote harassment, misinformation, and destructive behaviour. Those involved will eventually expose their own intentions and unravel from within.
Clarification on My Role in Rehoming
Volunteers from a well-regarded UK-wide fox rescue organisation, working in partnership with a nationwide exotics rescue, urgently sought our assistance as no other options remained for three wild rescues foxes that could not be released—a male living in a home due to be terminated and two rehabilitated rescue foxes in temporary holding—time was critical. These foxes could not be released and were living in homes due to be terminated. All the rescues were full.Â
Rescue volunteers passed along their contact details in the hope that I could assist. Documentation of their request is available for the authorities, which can also be confirmed by the owners of the foxes—who had initially contacted them for assistance.
As a result of this request, I subsequently reached out to the keepers and posted a call for an urgent home on Social Media. The post outlined the necessary enclosure requirements, and I connected the keepers with a suitable home that met the following specifications:
"A secure enclosure which is a minimum of 400 sq ft and made from 50mm x 50mm, 3-4mm galvanized welded steel mesh, must be available. Support from Black Foxes UK will be provided for their new keepers, for as long as it is required."
The three rescued wild foxes in their new enclosure—spared euthanasia and given a fulfilling life. It is important to add, there are no legal minimum standards for the housing of foxes in the UK. Black Foxes UK advocates for, promotes, and educates about minimum standards for fox housing and are actively campaigning for legislation to regulate their care.
The keepers were ultimately responsible for their animals and for coordinating the move into their new home, as is their new keeper responsible for their welfare in their new home, which is how we handle all our silver fox rehoming cases. In this case, as it is not a usual situation for us to assist with rehousing wild foxes, both the owners and the wildlife rescues were ultimately responsible. This is the full extent of my involvement in the process—in what was an urgent life or death situation.
I am not an animal rescuer, and Black Foxes UK is not an animal rescue facility—whatever the aspirations—I run an education website and citizen science project, providing guidance for keepers and members of the public.
Black Foxes UK—as an entity—has recently begun to provide the opportunity to join a small, niche membership organisation, with a wide range of volunteer opportunities for those interesting in advocating for silver fox awareness.Â
My direct involvement in wildlife rescue has been minimal. I’ve assisted with only five wild foxes—one of which was never located and the other was sadly PTS. Our focus is silver fox education and awareness, not wild fox rehabilitation. Our role has been to help connect struggling keepers with appropriate homes when no other options were available.
In cases where entire towns reached out to me regarding escapees, continuously for weeks, I stepped in due to the personal toll the situation put on myself and my website, due to the lack of available rescue resources for foxes, especially silver foxes, in the UK.
To clear up rumors: Between September 2019 and April 2021 I attempted to launch Black Foxes UK as a CIC to support this growing need with an online store—which was ultimately unsuccessful, largely due to Covid, funding limitations and technical issues. Black Foxes UK continues today as an Unincorporated Association—as it began.
The ongoing personal attacks are not only disappointing but completely unjustified. As a result of this incident, on top of being pressured into assisting more wildlife than captive bred foxes this year, we will not be assisting in connecting keepers of rehabilitated wildlife with potential new homes moving forward.
Our focus is silver fox education, we wish to keep it that way.

Have You Asked Yourself: Am I In An Abusive Cult?
It's important to reflect on why certain groups or individuals rally people behind them by twisting facts and promoting harmful narratives. As I've said before, there’s often a reason cult-like leaders want you to look the other way while they feed you their version of the truth. They hide behind fake profiles, stirring up hostility, and many followers remain unaware of what they’re truly supporting. Ask yourself: who are you really following, and what is their agenda?
For a deeper understanding of how indoctrination works, and how easily individuals can be manipulated into supporting harmful causes, I encourage you to read Indoctrination to Hate on Bloomsbury, which explores the psychology behind hate-driven movements and cult-like behaviours: Indoctrination to Hate - Bloomsbury.
The Power of Context and Narrative
In today’s online environment, it’s alarmingly easy for images, statements, and actions to be taken out of context and warped into new narratives that suit someone else’s agenda. A single photo or quote can be reshaped into something entirely different, and in the hands of people with malicious intent, the truth becomes buried. It’s critical to question these narratives and think carefully before buying into stories that may not reflect reality.
We must all be cautious of the ease with which information is manipulated online and recognize when a different, and often harmful, agenda is at play.
And with that, I am done with this matter.
